About

Associates Board

Illinois Science Council’s Associates Board

ISC’s Associates Board is a group of fun and science-curious people who want to get involved in ISC and help grow the organization and its mission.  ISC is still a young organization and the field of public science outreach is exploding in the U.S.  So this is your chance to get in on the ground floor and be a part of creating something awesome!

Who we’re looking for…

We’re seeking professionals from any field who are interested in sharing their time, talents and connections for the cause of science! You do not need a science background, although that’s great. Those with PhDs and those who barely remember high school science are both welcome.

Associate Board members will:

  • Spread the word about ISC to their networks
  • Occasionally assist with ISC public programs
  • Help plan, promote, and execute our great fundraising events:

o   Science Cocktail Party in the fall  (November 5, 2016)

o   Pi Day 3.14-mile Fun Run and pi/pie promotion in the spring (March 14th)

  • Help plan, promote, and execute the Chicago Science Festival (May 2017)
  • Make a 1-year commitment and $75 contribution to ISC.

If you are interested in joining the ISC Associates Board, please complete the application below and send a note that you’ve submitted it to info@IllinoisScience.org.  You can see a list of all ISC past programs here.
