Science as Art & Science in Film
Join us at a unique new museum in Chicago’s Loop for an inspiring evening exploring science as artworks and as storytelling through film.
Location: National Museum of Health + Medicine Chicago, 175 W. Washington St., Chicago, IL
Tickets: $10 in advance/ $15 at door, includes art exhibit, film screenings and refreshments. Reserve seats here.
5:00 – 6:30pm
Experience an art exhibit featuring award-winning images from the National Science Foundation and Northwestern University scientific images contests. Enjoy refreshments as you roam a gallery of high-definition monitors displaying beautiful images with interesting scientific backstories.
6:30 – 8:30pm
We will screen two films (full-length 90 min. and 18 min short)from the Chicago-based 137 Films, documentary filmmakers who specialize in promoting science through storytelling on film. A Q&A with Clayton Brown and Monica Ross, Directors & Producers, will follow the screenings.
