Fête de la Science: The Rosetta Space Mission

Comets, the icy bodies that originated from the outer most part of our solar system, are both mysterious and fascinating.  Today scientists are trying to understand more about these icy space travelers. The Alliance Francaise de Chicago presents Professor Benard Marty as he discusses about humankind’s first mission to a comet, named 67P/GC, with Rosetta and the comet lander Philae.

A Q&A session and wine and cheese receiption will follow the talk.
