Innovation Science Café – “The Coldest of the Cold”
February 15, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The Adler Planetarium and NOVA are hosting a Science Cafés as an AAAS associated event. Come to the Adler Planetarium for an evening of exploration and conversation with Dr. Edward “Rocky” Kolb of the University of Chicago. He’ll be talking about the “coldest” stuff in the universe!
Ninety-five percent of the universe is missing! Astronomical observations suggest that most of the matter in the universe is in a mysterious form called cold dark matter. After decades of effort, we may finally be on the verge of discovering cold dark matter using telescopes, particle accelerators, and instruments deep underground.
