Nature of Sex: Mating, Childbirth, and Parenting

May 20, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Come get a more nuanced understanding of the birds and the bees from a new documentary film based on the book, “How We Do It” by primatologist, Robert D. Martin, PhD.  Chicago Public Library presents a screening of The Nature of Sex that provides in-depth exploration of issues in sexual reproduction — from the biology of our gametes to the way we provide parental care to our newborns.  Join primatologist, Dr. Robert Martin, from The University of Chicago and the Field Museum, and Dr. Elliot H. Haimoff, senior producer of the film, who will be available for Q&A after the screening. After the screening, copies of the book and DVD of the film will be available for purchase.
