Chicago Council on Science and Technology is pleased to present When Playing Sports is Bad for Your BrainBrain injuries are not just the concern of pro athletes, or limited to football players–hockey, boxing, rugby, and soccer all carry their own risks of permanent brain injury. Dorothy Kozlowski, a neuroscience researcher, and Jeffrey Mjaanes, medical director of the Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic at Rush Medical Center, will discuss the dangers, prevention and treatment of sports-related traumatic brain injuries.
