You DRINK beer (we won’t ask how much), but do you ever THINK about beer? You should. Now is your chance to understand the chemical reactions in beer in a way they would never teach you in high school chemistry!
Illinois Science Council brings back our most popular “Chemistry for Adults” program in partnership with the impressive folks at Chicago’s own Metropolitan Brewery. Join us for a unique hands-on Chemistry of Beer event with ISC’s Chemist-in-Residence, Dr. Lindsey McQuade. Whether you consider yourself a connoisseur or someone who just occasionally partakes, come learn the inside, chemical scoop on one of the oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic drinks in the world.
This event is not just a talk or a tasting (but don’t worry, you won’t go home thirsty). You will engage in hands-on chemistry experiments and leave with an insider’s view of the craft beer brewing process at Metropolitan. Most importantly, you will learn about your beloved beverage in new ways that will help you impress others. Our friends at Metropolitan are fun and low-key, but they are serious about craft beer.
Big thanks to our partner Metropolitan Brewing for hosting!
