UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) Motorsports is a student organization that partakes in design competitions organized by SAE International. The team has been competing in Baja since the mid-1970’s and Formula starting in 2007. Each year the team must design, manufacture, and compete both vehicles facing other universities from around the world. The competitions test the students’ ability to practically design, cost, and manufacture parts to form a fully functional vehicle.
