Seven Minutes of Science

Seven Minutes of Science is a fast-paced event in which Northwestern University graduate students will present an overview of their scientific research in seven-minutes. The students are all participants in Ready Set Go, a science communication program at the University in which they learn presentation skills for addressing non-scientific audiences and the general public. You will get a taste of some of the fascinating research going on at Northwestern in a way that is accessible to individuals from any field. (And you’ll be really impressed with the work these students are doing!)
Talks will cover topics from the following fields:
– Biomedical Engineering
– Chemical & Biological Engineering
– Communication Sciences & Disorders
– Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
– Mechanical Engineering
– Physics & Astronomy
– Plant Biology & Conservation
Whether you conduct research in these fields or are simply curious about what their research entails, this event is perfect for broadening your scope of knowledge.
Location: Abbott Auditorium in the Pancoe Life Sciences Pavilion on Northwestern’s Evanston campus.
Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
