DESCRIPTION:Illinois Science Council will be featured at one of the biggest summer attractions of 2021 — Sundays on State! Stop by our booth on State Street between Washington & Madison this Sunday\, September 12 anytime from 11:00am – 8:00pm. You’ll see real animal brains (including human!) up close and enjoy our exotic insect “petting zoo” — it’s perfect for pictures!  You can chat with scientists — like a soil ecologist\, astrophysicist\, neuroscientist\, immunologist\, etc. — buy a new City of Science “subway” t-shirt (below)\,  and learn about science outreach opportunities in Chicago. \nChicago’s most iconic street\, State Street\, closes to traffic from Lake to Madison on select Sundays this summer and transforms into an open street full of surprises beginning July 11 thus summer. Come together with neighbors from every Chicago community and beyond for Sundays on State\, a free\, interactive block party\, while safely enjoying art\, culture\, active recreation\, retail\, bars\, restaurants\, and local attractions.
