The City Nature Challenge
is an annual four-day global bioblitz at the end of April, where cities are in a collaboration-meets-friendly-competition to see not only what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal, but also which city can gather the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the event.
ISC will gather this year at the West Ridge Nature Park on Saturday morning, April 30, to make observations of the flora and fauna we see and share with Chicago’s City & Region-wide effort. We’ll use the iNaturalist app to share photos of what we find, which you can learn about during our pre-talk on Monday 4/25, 6-6:45pm on Zoom. Register for that HERE
No need to register to join the walk at West Ridge Nature Park — just show up! We’ll gather near the entrance @10am and be there until about noon.
