Illinois Science Council (“ISC”) is an independent nonprofit that brings science to public audiences through interesting and engaging programs. We serve as the adult complement to student-focused science outreach and we do it thanks to the contributions of science fans like you!  

Our mission is to raise understanding and appreciation of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) topics among the adult public. We engage, educate, and entertain adults (high school and up) about STEM subjects. We serve as the science & tech complement to the Chicago region’s arts & culture sector with appealing and substantive content. We showcase the scientists and research of the Chicago-area institutions and companies that make Chicago our nation’s true “City of Science.”
