Chicago’s iconic State Street closes to traffic on 2 Sundays this summer (7/16 and 8/13) as it transforms into the extremely creative FREE street festival “Sundays on State.” ISC is serving up SCIENCE with the most interesting, engaging, and photo-friendly booth to complement the typical food, art, and sales displays. This year we’ll have:

  • real human and animal brains, along with neuroscientists to chat with;
  • live geckos, salamanders, snakes, and insects people can handle and pose with;
  • animal skeletons;
  • microscope-viewing of brain cells; and
  • brain games to play

If you have any fears or hesitations about snakes, reptiles, this the perfect opportunity for an easy, low-key, no-stress, friendly and informative experience to reduce anxiety. You’ll get to see cute geckos, maybe a bearded dragon, and cute little snakes. You can also learn about your brain and talk with real neuroscientists. Be curious and come say Hi!
