Are you struggling to get the word out about the importance of conservation and biodiversity to peers, policy makers, or the public? Learn from some of the best science communicators how they craft messages that resonate and deliver content in ways that are fun, engaging, and informative. Presenters will focus on multiple communication pathways from traditional and social media to innovative art-science partnerships. Come learn how to communicate complex topics in new and compelling ways.

Learn how we can all become advocates for science through communication and the arts at SciComm: The Art (and Science) of Reaching New Audiences on Friday April 20 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

This Janet Meakin Poor symposium will focus on science communications in all its forms. We are especially excited about the afternoon speakers, all of whom represent ways to create alternative entry points to STEM through the arts – spoken word, interactive sculpture, and collaborative visual creations (artists from the three exhibitions below will be speaking). (fee applies)

Come for the day, stay for the evening. Enjoy special pricing when registering for both the Reaching New Audiences symposium and our Science Poetry Slam.
