The Illinois Science Council is delighted to partner with the University of Chicago to bring students’ science writing texts to Science Unsealed.
In February 2019, Science Unsealed editors-in-chief Dana Simmons and Ben Marcus spoke to fourth-year University of Chicago students about methods for effective science communication. In the upcoming months, Science Unsealed will publish seven articles from the students in this course. Each student had the opportunity to select a topic they were interested in, revise their work under the direction of their instructors, and work directly with the Science Unsealed editors to prepare their work for publication. The topics range from quantum mechanics to space dust, and we are sure they will spark your scientific curiosity.
If you’re hosting a science writing workshop at your college or university and you are looking for somewhere your students can publish their work, contact us at blog@illinoisscience.org.
